How can your service be complimentary?

	We are incentivised by the venues that we confirm on your behalf. We’ll still negotiate the best possible price, almost certainly better than you would get yourself. Negotiation is about value for money as much as reducing prices.

Do venues increase the rates they quote to cover incentives/commission (to be discussed) payments?

	Not necessarily. In fact, venues recognise that more and more clients are using outsourcing procurement companies such as JLM and value our business very highly. Venues also know that agents are more aware of current market prices and seasonal trends than independent buyers. We use our knowledge of the market and relationships negotiating rates with venues until we are happy that you have been given the best deal available to ensure you don’t pay any more for your event than is necessary.

How will JLM know what I am looking for in a venue?

	Our trained team have years of experience in dealing with hotels and know exactly what information will be required to ensure that you get the perfect match. We will discuss the requirements with you in detail before we start the search - we may even come up with ideas for your event or raise issues you hadn't considered!

Do you mention to the venue who the client is?

	Absolutely! Transparency is the key.

What will I receive from JLM?

	After our initial discussion, our team will contact those venues we agree will be suitable for your event. Once we have responses, we will provide you with an initial rate matrix, followed by proposals outlining venues, their facilities and prices. This will be sent to you by fax or e-mail within 48 hours of receiving your enquiry. We will place a provisional hold, where we can, on the short listed hotels to ensure that they remain available whilst you make your decision.

What happens if I need more information on some hotels?

	Once you've had a chance to look through the proposal, we will be in contact with you to check what further information you will need. We will obtain, if required, individual brochures for those venues which interest you, and will inform those which you reject. We will also arrange a site inspection should you wish to view the venue yourself.
